It's still sent hourly, so if you're repo's offline, expect a bunch of error messages. Future versions of prtsync will hopefully have better error tracking, meaning that we only send repeated errors once per day. A quick check on the amule webside suggested that there haven't been "betas" in a while, so I guess that's 'amulebeta' is a missleading name anyway. Could you two look into that, and create a merged port which fits best in our repository? I'm not too keen on maintaining them, at least currently. They probably should be ditched from the repo. But, IMHO, amule is a better name for the port because every release from them seems to fix critical bugs, so the latest version is the one you should be using, no matter if it's a release candidate or not. Just an opinion from a 4th party, I'm in agreement with the both of you, I don't beleieve any versioning should be part of the actual port's name. This is what the 'version' variable is for :) cheers James -- -- -"Problems are Solved by Method" - From jw at tks6.net Fri Aug 26 15:19:54 2005 From: jw at tks6.net (Johannes Winkelmann) Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2005 17:19:54 +0200 Subject: [Clc-contrib] Bouncing mail and amule "dup" Message-ID: <20050826151954.GC6064@titanium> Hi Jolupa, I just realized that your address had been disabled in clc-contrib's mailman since there were too many mails which could not be delivered to your address. I assume these problems are solved now, and reactivated your address, so you should again receive mails sent to the clc-contrib mailing. You probably missed some mail due to that, therefore I'm sending you a link to the archive of a post which was directed to you; we were starting to wonder whether you're even reading this list until we found out that your address had been disabled :-) The post is here: http://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/clc-contrib/2005-August/000250.html Since then, the amule port from 'aon' has been removed, the other remarks made in this thread still hold true. I set the "reply-to" to clc-contrib@, looking forward to hearing from you.
