Now, I found out that from an error on my part, you were not notfied about those issues, so you didn't get those, and therefore didn't know about those problems. It's fixed now, so you'll get the warnings as well. > About every third sync failed in the last three days. Is this a > temporary problem? It failed now continuously for 22 hourly syncs. DNS seems to be definitely broken: http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup.ch?name=www.jolupatech.info&type=A says: Answer: No answer given. And on http://examples.softwaremodules.com/IntraDns.asp?domainname=www.jolupatech.info&Submit=Submit&t_a=1&t_mx=1&t_ns=1 Three out of four answers are "DNS entry not found" The same result on my machine, and on clc.morpheus.net obviously. Could you already talk to your ISP regarding this issue? I'm sure you understand that if the repo doesn't sync, that won't allow us to get any updates from you, and that the users therefore don't get any new/updated ports. One of the first issues I found is that we can't really know whether a conflict has been resolved except that there's no reminder after 24h; added this as a missing feature to the wiki page. I'll send another mail to crux@ later this week to attract more users and contributors, since it seems our PR work was pretty bad so far. As a side note, the rsync driver also removes local source files within /usr/ports/contrib-test; if you're not using alternative PKGMK_SRC_DIR and PKGMK_PACKAGE_DIR, expect this to happen. Anyway, welcome in contrib-test, Han :-). Message-ID: <1129137144.7495.6.camel@localhost> Hi. I send I message to James a few days ago, telling him that, due to work dates, I'll be not using CRUX for a long time but that is not true. I arrived to the new work, and they have installed an Ubuntu distro.... :( after to days playing and installing things without a root permission I decided to change the 3 machines in the work to CRUX. I return to maintain my packages and be active to clc-contrib if you want. In other things, and after installing Evolution, with a lot of dependencies, that looking in the Evolution website, I think are worthless. I reached the need to make the dependencie field in the Pkgfile to be more accurate, and try to make the Pkgfile the most universal we can. Just thinking. Thank You. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... That's a rather bold statement, considering that there's an existing port for evolution 2.4, and that the dependencies as we have them now work fine for even large projects like gnome, KDE and others. > I reached the need to make the dependencie field in the > Pkgfile to be more accurate, and try to make the Pkgfile the most > universal we can. Sounds like what you want is gentoo's portage: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=1 Versioned deps, optional deps, and a lot more; the probably most universal build files.
