However i need to notice one thing, you need to use subshells and &&, || operators w/ care. Subshells doesn't inherit the "fail on error" from parent shell so if (audacity port) cd lib-src/portsmf; aclocal; automake; autoconf) fails (any command within subshell) then build will proceed and most likely fail. cheers Bartek From mike at openbunker.org Tue Jan 20 22:08:36 2009 From: mike at openbunker.org (Mikhail Kolesnik) Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2009 00:08:36 +0200 Subject: [crux-contrib] Contrib maintainer application In-Reply-To: <20090107221044.GA3015@karpunix.home.aster.pl> References: <20090107221044.GA3015@karpunix.home.aster.pl> Message-ID: <20090121000836.1fdc6482@amilo> Hello, sirmacik. Just a minor suggestion: please use the same e-mail address in the 'Maintainer:' field across all your ports. I suppose, you know about prtverify(1) tool. It will give a useful hint about wrong man page location in cdrtools port. Can you please give us a list of ports you want to add to contrib in the first run? All seem fine. I can see what Mike told you about man files in cdrtools port. I haven't tested your ports, I have built them in a safe-enviroment to review dependencies, this is my little report about. - conky-cli: Needs libxml2 in its dependencies. - parted: you can remove $PKG/usr/share directory. - gparted: Needs p5-xml-parser in its dependencies. - libcegui: Missing files found, I think you are building it with more ports installed (mesa3d and lua seem to be missing checking your .footprint). Check if they are really dependencies or try to adjust your .footprint. - mcabber: Needs glib in its dependencies. - ncmpcpp: curl and ncurses are from core, they don't need to be listed in Depends line. - picasa: Are locales needed? - smc: missing files... related to locales. - transmission-cli: curl is in core, it needs intltool to build. - wine: is in opt. - winetricks: I haven't tested it. I hope this report can be usefull for you. I'm sorry if I missed something. If you can, try to let us know which ports will be in contrib to make a deep check over them. That's probably wrong. If ncmpcpp links against the curl/ncurses libs listing them as dependencies is correct. > - picasa: Are locales needed? > - smc: missing files... related to locales. > - transmission-cli: curl is in core, it needs intltool to build. Check if they are really dependencies or try to > adjust your .footprint. note that libcegui and smc depend on libsilly and you should provide it too if you want to keep they on contrib, and same for gparted which depends on parted also some ports can't be placed in contrib due to their deps: - napi: depends on p7zip which is not listed in core, opt, xorg or contrib - bashburn: depends on cdrtools which is not listed in core, opt, xorg or contrib (also you have a little mistake, so you listed mp123 instead of mpg123 ;D) pyburn: depends on cdrtools too, and also oggdec which not listed in core, opt, xorg or contrib > > I hope this report can be usefull for you.
