Does anyone besides yourself actually use your ports? Not to make comparisons, but its been my experience that every crux user makes their own packages as they need them and no one ever uses anyone's ports but their own. Just curious, Chris timcowchip at gmail.com From tek at serverop.de Tue Nov 21 08:56:03 2017 From: tek at serverop.de (Thomas Penteker) Date: Tue, 21 Nov 2017 09:56:03 +0100 Subject: [crux-contrib] URL change for j_v repo Message-ID: Hello,? currently, there is noch straight forward way to know. You could monitor and with a certain vagueness try to determine individual synchs from your repo. This is Not 100% accurate and does Not track actually used/installed Ports. To become more certain in the usage-regard, become e.g. a contrib maintainer. ^:) Of course, you could host all Source files yourself but tracking our fellow users is not very nice, in the end. I also use other's repos to get starting points for my own customized ports. In my few years of maintaining a repo I've had two emails from people the use my ports reporting problems. -Daryl From jvogel4 at stny.rr.com Tue Nov 21 19:35:55 2017 From: jvogel4 at stny.rr.com (John Vogel) Date: Tue, 21 Nov 2017 14:35:55 -0500 Subject: [crux-contrib] URL change for j_v repo In-Reply-To: <20171121004802.4f388ea3@archstrike.localdomain> References: <20171121011029.00051b00@stygian.lan> <20171121004802.4f388ea3@archstrike.localdomain> Message-ID: <20171121143555.442733db@stygian.lan> On Tue, 21 Nov 2017 00:48:02 -0800 christopher wrote: > On Tue, 21 Nov 2017 01:10:29 -0500 > John Vogel wrote: > > > I have updated the site that hosts my ports to https only, so the URL > > has changed from http://stygian.me/crux/ports to > > https://stygian.me/crux/ports > > > > New httpup file: https://stygian.me/crux/ports/j_v.httpup > > > > Best Regards, > > - John > > _______________________________________________ > > crux-contrib mailing list > > crux-contrib at lists.crux.nu > > https://lists.crux.nu/mailman/listinfo/crux-contrib > > I have to ask. On the outside chance that anyone has been using them, I sent the notification to the contrib list as a courtesy. Thanks for your interest, - John
