Nobody can keep you from writing a setup program, but I just don't see a place for it in the Crux image.
No, it wasn't my aim to build a fork or something like that of CRUX. I have only questioned if there are Interessts in an GUI Installer. When there are no interessts; and i thing so; i will stop this Projekt now. I am not sad, when i dont spend my time on it. I ve just played with directfb and the gtk backend and thing, that it will be very easy to build an Installer, an maybe one for CRUX, with it.
I'm personally interested in a more "driven" setup procedure since I think it can be of some help for novices and more experienced users as well. I started some work back at the time[1] but had to keep up with other priorities. Anyway, I jumped into the discussion to say that if there is a group of people interested in working on such a project, and this leads to something nice, I support the inclusion of the tool as an alternative installation method. I'd greatly prefer a console based (ncurses, slang, replimenu) setup, but it's a bit early to discuss about this, let's see if there's some other people interested.
