My feeling is that the install procedure as is serves as a pretty good filter for weeding out those who will get little more than trouble for their efforts in the long run. (Like, "OMG the package FAILED, OMG Teh sky is FALLING!!oneone CRUX is BROKEN! ...when all that happended was that they got a file extra compared to the footprint.)
