Hi,all. I make a patch for pkgutils-5.20 that allows specify package database and rejected file destination. It will help you to test your ports. It affects pkgadd,pkgrm,and pkginfo. If you apply this patch,following two options are added -d,--pkg-db </absolute/path> : specify package database -R,--pkg-rejected </absolute/path> : specify rejected file destination I will be glad if you tell me some improvements for this patch. and prt-gtk update to 0.1.10.see http://itn2002.at.infoseek.co.jp/file/prt-gtk-en.html

mkbootcd?

i need to add a driver to the boot cd to get my raid card recognized. i used the mkbootfloppy script to get it going, but i'd like to re-do the cd image so i don't have to keep a floppy disk laying around... i thought there was at one time a crux mkbootcd script for this purpose... does anyone know where i can get a copy of that? Thanks! J

shadow 4.0.17 changes location of nologin

Hi there, With shadow 4.0.17 (in core-2.2), the location of the 'nologin' binary changed from /usr/sbin/nologin to /sbin/nologin When you're using nologin as login shell for certain users, you may want to adjust the entry when updating to 4.0.17. Gnome port installation failed at iso-codes_0.49.orig.tar.gz

Hi! I've just installed CRUX 2.2 and is currently trying to install the GNOME port (man, couldn't they slim it down a bit). prt-get failed when getting about to download iso-codes_0.49.orig.tar.gz. Seems that version is gone. Could just find 0.44 and 0.51-1.1, so i hacked the Pkg-file and .md5sum to include the latter. I hope i haven't borken any other dependencies because of that. I post this here in case the maintainer reads this list. I'm currently started the install again. 2 hours and counting... this is ruff. Mats

64 bit

I'm looking at upgrading to a new workstation. Most likely an AMD 64 bit CPU. I know there is a 64 bit version of crux (I use it on a server) but it's a little out dated now and has been discontinued. Is anyone using crux on a 64 bit machine in 64 bit mode and if so are there any tricks to getting it set up? I love my crux and I REALLY don't want to have to look for another distro. HIA, Joe

On boot it reports as a 4e/si Standard.
