awake from suspend to ram?

Hi all, If I use pm-suspend as root, the system goes to sleep. But there is no way to resume. I kan hear a click sound from the soundcard, but the system keeps sleeping. I can push the power button, but there is also no reaction... Wat is the best way to debug this problem? Crux 3.4: libidn and Imagemagick

Two little beefs: 1) When libidn is updated, programs that use gnutls fail. This includes libreoffice. Rebuilding gnutls solves the problem. There should be a README for libidn specifying a rebuild of gnutls, as this is a major version update. 2) The wrong version of imagemagick is specified. 7.0.7-31 is no longer available on the Imagemagick site. I think the current version is 7.0.7-32. --

Thunderbird problem while installing

Help request related to crux-3.4 and mate

Hi all, I have an absolutely perfect crux-3.4-rc2 MATE installation in my first PC. Today I'm trying a new installation in a similar PC using crux-3.4.iso file. No problem at all while installing the OS, but when I try to install MATE from mhoush mate collection I find a difficult (for me!) problem: only the first two packages are installed, and I'm stopped at the third, p5-xml-simple-2.22-1, getting this message: WARNING: Signature not found, creating new. /usr/bin/pkgmk: line 377: '.signature.tmp': Permission denied rm: cannot remove '.signature.tmp': No such file or directory ERROR: Creating signature failed If I try to install through "pkgmk -d -i -if", I get the message: ERROR: Footprint mismatch found: MISSING root/rootï¿œ usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.24/ .... NEWï¿œï¿œï¿œï¿œï¿œï¿œ root/root usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.26/ .... Problem: I tried to downgrade perl to 5.24.4, but it was impossible. Someone can help me? Many advanced thanks. Giorgio Cittadini

CRUX 3.4 has been released!

We are happy to finally announce the release of CRUX 3.4 [1]. The toolchain has been updated to include glibc 2.27, GCC 7.3.0 and binutils 2.29.1. CRUX 3.4 ships with a 4.14.40 installation-kernel and Xorg 7.7 with xorg-server 1.20.0. It appears the recently pushed libidn update will break linked applications. Sorry I didn't catch that before pushing. A simple 'prt-get -fr update $(revdep)' should resolve it. /f
